Drop-off Training

Posted on 04/11/2012

Sometimes referred to as Board and Train, this has become a very popular approach for those whose life style does not allow for them to train their own dog. The pet is left with the trainer for a two-week period, and training is provided in an environment similar to “home”. This allows the trainer to duplicate the conditions in which the dog lives, and allows the trainer to work on basic commands as well as manners. During this time, the dog is treated as one of the family pets. At the end of the two-week period, there is a training session for the owner. This session helps the owner understand how to interact with their pet to achieve desired behaviors.
